I was always and on-again/off-again writer.

After a seven-year hiatus from all art (partially non-self imposed) the work began to beat on my throat. Withdrawn, isolated, and submissed, nothing could come from me at that time. Returning to school in December of 2008 gave me a sense of self again. In Spring of 2013 after an intensive animation and rhetoric class, I came to the realization I was exhausted from helping other people's work come out, get noticed, gain exposure, win awards, collect kudos while my work sat on the sidelines. An internal shift happened where I began finding real value in my own work. I still love working on other's films and stories - but mine finally are coming up first.

I helped on many a film, scoured many a script, taught others how to harness the very thing I wasn't allowing myself to utilize for my own work - Voice. Esteem. Confidence. Practice. Audience.

After a bit more time, and incredible mentoring, I published my first short story in Fall 2015 in

Glitterwolf Magazine: Halloween Special. You may purchase and read a sample in the linked photo on the right.

And, yes, below are passes to many a film festival my work and the work I worked on.

Plus, a few awards. WERK!
